Aw, a sad day indeed. I know how you are feeling, it'll get better, but not for a while... I resolved there and then to NEVER have another cat... I now have 3! The rawness faded, and I ow have such lovely memories of our dear Sophie... In fact, only last night, Mrs P and I were talking about her, and her little ways... and we laughed! no sadness, just laughter. Be a while yet tho mate. You did everything you could, and more than anything you gave Kitty a wonderful life. Alas, they don't all get that. Kitty was a lucky cat. Have a peaceful weekend.
Piley.
PS - I've put a request out for your help in the comments of my latest post... absolutely no hurry, but as and when there's a few people crying out for your help!
Sorry to hear about your loss. Thanks for posting the picture of Kitty. This is the first time I have been to your blog.
there is nothing as special as a good cat like Kitty. Mine is young, but someday I will go through it, and lord knows I already have a couple of times before.
Sorry, my friend, to hear of your loss. There are no good words here, just feelings. I wish you and your family peace and mostly, I wish for your furry legged friend a peaceful journey to a place where there is no pain, and where the food is delicious, the sleep is soft and uninterrupted, and there are many toys to play with.
Hang in there. One day at a time. You will never forget. Your friend will always be remembered.
I know exactly how you feel after my house cat and companion of 10 died of cancer. It came as a shock because the tumour was inside one of his organs.
But as you know now cats rock and they rock hard so I just had to give a home to another cat shortly afterwards.
I got a pal for my older cat soon after and now I've got two. I've had them both for several years and they're both super cool.....maybe they even dig the 60s garage punk and psychedelia I play every day.
My advice would be to get another cat. Better still from a rescue centre because it's obvious to me that you're a good parent and can give a cat a good home.
By the way my Tina Peel 45 cost £16a few years ago.

Thanks to all who responded. This is an extremely painful experience, but it was the right thing to do.
