There is nothing I could say that would overstate the importance of Joey Ramone to the music that I hold dear to me, the lifestyle I have led and many of the good things in my life. It's a loss that I suspect many of you also feel.
Rest In Peace. I look forward to seeing you on the other side.

I didn't follow the Ramones as diligently after the first four albums, but I used to see Joey around two or three times a year.
We weren't friends, but he'd recognize me even if he usually didn't remember my name. He was a nice guy, never acted like a rock star.
The fact that Joey's dead and Phil Collins is alive is proof that god is imaginary.
