Wired At The Seaport

Going to see Wire tonight. One of the bands of the original '77 Brit Punk scene, after their first lp Pink Flag, they became a bit too arty for my taste. But they spewed out two of the classic songs of Old School Punk : "12XU" and "Dot Dash". Of course that was 30 years ago, but they have occasionally toured since. They also have a new album coming out called Object 47, so check it out.

And besides, it's a free show at NYC's South Street Seaport and there ain't nothin' wrong with that!

wow, they played 12XU faster than anyone alive! I knew this even though I was hammered at the time.

so what did you think of the show, hoss? i was right up front. loved it. then again, i love arty wire (prefer it to pink flag), and i especially love 2004's send.

from the rear flanks, it was enjoyable enuff, but I woulda liked more than 1 song from Pink Flag. But the beer and vodka and other sundries were flowing, it was a beautiful nite and a good time was had by all.
